  • Piedmont High is recognized as a School of Distinction for 2010-2011.

Alex Griffin Commits to Catawba photo

Alex Griffin Commits to Catawba

Senior Alex Griffin recently committed to swim and run cross country at Division II Catawba College.  Griffin was named all-RRC as a junior in cross country and helped Piedmont qualify for the 2A state championship meet this past season.  In addition, Griffin has already qualified for the 2A West Regional swim meet in nine events.

Tyler Cook, certified physician assistant, spoke to the Health Occupations, World History and U.S. History students about his recent medical internship in Belize.  Students not only learned of the many medical challenges faced by the people of Belize, but also learned about the immersion process for visiting medical personnel.
